The region’s key livestock exhibition strengthens its role as a gateway to Indonesia’s growing agribusiness and food security sector

Tangerang Regency, Banten, September 17, 2025 — Indonesia’s leading international trade exhibition for livestock, dairy, meat processing, and aquaculture — ILDEX Indonesia — will officially become an annual event starting from 2026 onwards, to better serve the fast-growing demand and rapid transformation of the country’s livestock industry.

The 2025 edition of ILDEX Indonesia marked a remarkable milestone, achieving its largest scale in history and setting new records for international participation and trade visitor attendance. The show welcomed 278 exhibitors across 9,720 square meters of exhibition space, attracting 12,880 professional visitors from 43 countries and regions, alongside 2,107 conference delegates who joined a wide range of technical and business sessions. The top visiting countries included Indonesia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, Australia, and the United States—reinforcing ILDEX Indonesia’s position as one of Asia’s most dynamic and influential livestock and aquaculture trade platforms.

The next edition, ILDEX Indonesia 2026, will be held from 16–18 September 2026 at Hall 5–6, ICE BSD City, Tangerang, continuing its successful co-location with Horti & Agri Indonesia and introducing a new Dairy Pavilion dedicated to the dairy production and processing supply chain.

Government Endorsement

During the 2025 edition, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono expressed strong appreciation for the exhibition, which has become one of the region’s most influential agribusiness platforms.

“This event connects livestock stakeholders from within and outside Indonesia to conduct business, exchange knowledge, and form meaningful global partnerships,” said Sudaryono. “Livestock is a strategic pillar of agricultural development — not only supporting food security through the supply of animal protein, but also driving the economy by creating jobs and empowering communities on the path toward Indonesia Emas 2045.”

He noted that the livestock and animal health sector continues to show strong economic potential, with the sub-sector’s GDP reaching IDR 349 trillion, accounting for 12.54% of Indonesia’s total agricultural GDP of IDR 2,791 trillion. The key contributors include chicken eggs (IDR 192.5 trillion), chicken meat (IDR 144.8 trillion), beef and related products (IDR 77.68 trillion), and fresh milk (IDR 19.4 trillion).

Mrs. Fitri Nursantri P, Director of PT Permata Kreasi Media (PKM), stated that ILDEX 2025 which featured 278 participants from 26 countries, including representatives from Asia, the United States, and Europe serves as a bridge for global livestock industry players. “ILDEX is not only a business platform but also a hub for sharing innovation and facilitating knowledge transfer,” she explained.

She further emphasized that ILDEX Indonesia is not only an exhibition platform, but also a melting pot for stakeholders connecting government, industry leaders, academia, and professionals to collaborate and shape the future of the livestock sector.

“Everything aligns with the government program to improve community nutrition, achieve sustainable food self-sufficiency, and promote technological transformation in the livestock sub-sector, as well as strengthen national food sovereignty,” Mrs. Fitri added.

Mr. Justin Pau, CEO of VNU Asia Pacific, emphasized the strategic importance of Indonesia in the regional livestock value chain.

“Indonesia represents one of the most dynamic livestock markets in Asia, with tremendous potential for growth across the feed, poultry, dairy, and animal health sectors,” said Justin Pau, CEO of VNU Asia Pacific. “By making ILDEX Indonesia an annual event starting from 2026, we aim to create more opportunities for global brands to enter this high-demand market and connect directly with local distributors, producers, and investors. It’s not just about business — it’s about fostering long-term partnerships that will help the industry meet Indonesia’s growing protein needs in a sustainable way. This new chapter begins with the 8th Edition of ILDEX Indonesia 2026.”

Following this direction, the ILDEX exhibition series will continue to cover key markets across Indonesia (Annual show), Vietnam (Bi-Annual show), and the Philippines (Annual show). Together with the VIV Worldwide portfolio, we will establish a strong and connected network of events culminating in VIV Asia, held every two years to stimulate the livestock and aquaculture industries and encompass the entire animal protein value chain across the Asia region.
